Flavor Bomb Tofu Burger

This recipe was created totally on accident while cleaning out the rest of the miscellaneous items in my fridge…and now I present it to you!


Full of flavor, 100% vegan, gluten free, dairy and meat free.

Tofu Burger:

•Slab of extra firm tofu that will resemble a patty (about 1/2 inch thick)

•Miyoko’s fresh vegan mozzarella

•2 slices of your favorite gluten free bread/buns, toasted

•Hummus

•Your favorite meat seasoning (I use a Paleo powder from Hyvee health section that resembles a Mexican seasoning with no cumin)

•Nutritional Yeast

Optional Toppings:

•Tomato, sliced

•Peppers

•Green onion

•Dandelion Root Leaves / spinach/ whatever you want


Place your slab of tofu in a frying pan with some avocado oil and top with spices of choice. Cook on each side, slipping periodically until it begins to get crispier on the edges. Then, too with some nutritional yeast to add nutrients as well as a cheesy flavor. While the tofu is cooking, place the vegan mozzarella onto the pan to begin to melt and watch rigorously so that it doesn’t burn. As it melts, set it on top of the tofu.

Toast your bread, slap some hummus on the slices, place the tofu and cheese on top of a slice of bread, and then top with your toppings of choice! If you use peppers and green onion, I would recommend throwing them into the mix while the tofu is cooking and spice with the same spices until they become soft. Place on top of tofu patty! Enjoy the mix of flavors 😎
