Not only can you save a ton of money by making granola at home on your own, but you can also ensure that the granola you’re eating isn’t filled with a bunch of nasty additives and packed with unnecessary sugar!
Ingredients:
•3 cups organic gluten free rolled oats
•1/4-1/3 cups of unsweetened coconut flakes (optional)
•1/3 cup of local honey
•1/4 cup melted coconut oil
•1 tsp sea salt
•1/2-1 TBSP pumpkin pie spice
•1 tsp vanilla or almond extract (optional)
•2 tsp maple syrup drizzle for top (optional)
Preheat oven to 300 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix all the dry ingredients together and then add the wet ingredients and mix until fully incorporated. Spread the oat mixture onto the parchment paper and then drizzle with the maple syrup on top. Bake for 30-40 minutes and then LET COOL COMPLETELY on the pan! This will allow it to harden a bit so that the mixture can cluster like store bought granola. Store in an airtight container and enjoy with fruits, yogurts, on its own, or however you’d like!
*For this exact recipe: 30g of the mixture is about 132 calories.
