Salmon Power Bowl

Ahhh…..SALMON! Full of essential Omega-3 fatty acids and packed with flavor. No better way to eat it than with a bunch of other amazing nutrient-filled foods. We call that a POWER BOWL! A friend actually showed us a picture of her salmon bowl and inspired us to make this!

What you will need to make this incredible salmon power bowl:

-Fresh salmon

-Fresh cilantro, chopped

-Red onion, diced


-Black Beans

-Jasmine Rice, cooked

-Sea Salt


-1 lime for juice



-Avocado oil

First you will want to wash your salmon and place on a plate or some aluminum foil - whatever you find is easiest to prepare the salmon on. Spice the salmon with sea salt and pepper fairly heaily as these will be the only spices that you will add to the fish. Squeeze the juice of 1/2 a lemon onto the fish as well and rub the lemon spice mixture into the fish. Place a drizzle of avocado oil into a pan and let it heat up. While the pan is heating, dice your onion and cilantro. Open and wash our corn and beans and place to the side. Place some cooked jasmine rice into a bowl with the corn, black beans, cilantro, and onions. Place the salmon into the pan, skin down, and cover to heat the entire fish for 1-2 minutes. As it begins to cook, flake off sections the fish to pan fry portions. As each little portion gets done, place the piece into the jasmine rice and veggie mixture that we call the power bowl. Whenever you have finished cooking the amount of salmon that you want, top the bowl with diced avocado and a squeeze of lime juice. Enjoy!
